Hi,

I recently came across this tucked away in the back of my brother in-laws closet. It's a .22lr Armscor Concorde Model. Also a M1600 from what I have researched.

Now I have searched out posts on here to try to find out if this is a restricted rifle these days. According to the CFC pages, the only model listed is a Mitchell .22lr M16 knockoff. And in some of the older posts on here, there was some vague reference to them being the same. Then the name Squires-bingham came up as well. So that just further confused me some more ... lol.

SO ... I was looking for a more definite answer from the gurus who grace this forum with their knowledge and presence :p as to whether it is a restricted rifle or not.

I just did a forum search, and from what I read, they are non-restricted.

I must have used the wrong wording I guess ... thanks for the info. Now to talk him out of it into my possession .. lol. We weren't sure of the classification. Neither of us have a RPAL, just PAL class for our licenses. It's a nice little plinker, but needs some cleaning up.

I have the Squires Bingham model of this and (in ontario) a verifier had to have a look at it back when the registry first opened, to make sure it was not under the "M16 replica and .22 variant replica" classification. It was not. Therefore non-restricted. BTW a great shooter. Fast as hell and fun too.....
