I see a new (to me) advertiser on the site here, armseast.com. They have some sweet looking stag AR's built for lefties like myself. What's the quality on these rifles like? They look really nice in the pics on the site.

The flat-top with the iron sights appeals to me http://www.armseast.com/leftyrifles.html

I have next to no experience with AR's but am wanting to get into one soon...Being left handed, is it really advantageous to have a lefty rifle?

It gives you the same benefits that a right handed shooter gets with a right handed rifle. No more empties winging in front of your face/ flash near your non-dominant eye. Lefties love them.

Ellwood Epps may have a 16" lefty in stock.

I been talking to Dangertree on a number of occasions with no trouble. I know their expecting a large stock of guns and parts in. He even took the time to show me one of the right handed model 1R's at the range on several occasions and let me try before I buy. I am going to buy one of his 1R's from a dealer as soon as they come in.

PsyEx, I'm sorry you feel that way, about us and apparently others.

Your friend (who is a nice guy BTW) called us around the start of December, looking for a part. He and I exchanged emails, and a few phone calls. In the end, he wanted to order an part that was not currently in stock, but was on order.

I sent him an official confirmation of his order on Dec. 9. The confirmation was titled - ADVANCE INVOICE ONLY - NO PAYMENT REQUESTED. He was told that he will be contacted when the parts confirmed as inbound in Canada. I haven't been in contact with the gentleman since, as his parts are yet to arrive. The expected arrival date has not changed. Neither has he called/emailed us. I don't see anything unusual about this situation. If he wished to have an update or had concerns unknown to us, could he not call or email?

For the future, if anyone has questions, comments, or queries, for Arms East, my phone number is 709-691-6232, email is info(at)armseast.com, I am personally also available via PM here (but emails is preferred). I do try my best to respond promptly to emails.

ArmsEast - Good Experience

I did business with dangertree last fall and am pleased to report the communications (telephone and e-mail), pricing, shipping and merchandise (Stag 15L 1L carbine) were all satisfactory. I've only put ~100 rounds through it to date, but so far fit, finish & function are at least equal to my Colt.

Dangertree. Thanks for the quick reply. It was my suggestion to our mutual friend that he give you a call if he had concerns. Perhaps, I may have been led astray on this. I re-read my first post and it reads much harsher then I had intended. My appoligies.

PsyEx, All good buddy, I'll be in touch too.

Tango2, if you order from us, it will be shipped from us. However, we feel strongly that local dealers give the best service and support and deserve your business. We encourage shooters to place your orders/purchase through stocking dealers. More info about this will be posted at the proper time.

I've also had some inquiries about importing items from the US, and would like to make an important point on this. We deal with a very experienced defence industry exporter in the US, and can import most firearms and related products on an ad hoc basis, but with one large condition, we will not privately import products that currently have distribution in Canada. Any requests for items that are already available in the Canadian market will go through the proper distribution channels, we do not deal in grey market goods. So if you're looking for something unavailable in Canada (POF 416 Piston Uppers, for example), I'd be happy to take care of the import process, otherwise we can direct your order to the proper channels.

Best regards,

DT

Arms East

I have ordered a Stag Arms rifle (20" standard contour, 1-7" twist, flattop) from Arms East and it should be here in a couple weeks. Walter was prompt and courteous to deal with by email and even replied several times from Europe while on his honeymoon!

When my rifle arrives I will gladly provide some feedback.

Regards,

Outdoors
