arredondo mag followers?

does anyone use these, and are they worth the price to upgrade? Would using them really enhance reliability?

Dawson or Grams are the kit to go with these days. You can get both direct. If you're just looking for reliability then stick with the factory follower. Swaping to a Dawson, Grams, or in the past an arrendondo is to get better capacity. skinnier followers have a tendancy to tip or get hung up in the mags, Dawson/Grams added a rib on the bottom of the follower to use the first couple of spring coils to keep it up right. Dawson/Grams will NOT lock the slide open after the last round, I'm not sure what Ralph's does.

I've used the Arredondo's before...better than stock S_I...but the I'll agree with MAdness on the Grams spring followere kits...very good

+1 - I only use the fancy followers for international events, where they squeeze out that extra 1 or two rounds in a mag. Otherwise for 10 round mags in Canada, I stick with the cheapies - they've never failed me yet.

I put Arr. followers in my Para 9mm mags. The factory ones tended to "hesitate" when 2-3 rds were left in the mag and I was getting the odd stoppage. The Arr. followers work slick and I've been using them for a couple of years now. NO problems whatever. They worked for me.

However, as always, the bottom line is...if it ain't broke don't fix it.
