It's a good choice in the 'all actions are long actions' t3. There should be ample room for the cartridge, and a bullet seated out to a reasonable length. My suggestion though is to avoid it unless you're a reloader, factory loads don't do it justice. The t3 action can handle several thousand pounds more pressure than the weaker actions the 6.5 was designed for. And, with the longer OAL possible in the long action, you can probably get another hundred or two fps out of it (compared to standard load data), safely. Of course, if you're not a very experienced reloader, you're well advised to keep your loads within published guidelines

I'll say!

I had to vote for my beloved .243 just because no one else has and I'm tired of clicking "View Poll Results" :p

Thanks for the opinions all, I'll stroll through the store maybe this weekend or next and see if I can work up the courage to actually touch one of these. :D

thats because everyone already gave their .243s to their wives...:D j/k i love .243 too, great calibre, i think it mainly people already have a .243, and they are selecting their "next" gun would be.... id have to say a T3 in .270 would be pretty sweet! mmmm i like.
