Fellow hunters, I am looking into archery hunting and was wondering which arrow heads work best for the fall season of deer coming up shortly. Thanks for your input.

I use the G5 Montec fixed blade broad heads. They are really solid and resharpen well. They fly almost the same as my field points so not much adjustment needed for these when switching over.

You'll get as many answers as there are types of broadheads. Truth is, they will all kill. Don't go with anything to gimmicky. Make sure they are sharp and that they shoot where you are aiming and you'll be good to go.

All kinds of types ( as other have mentioned) long bow or cam ? Weight of pull ? From what that I have read Mechanical types Need velocity to be reliable ( not the best in heavy brush Either) for lower power bows non mechanical would most likely be a better bet for someone starting out .Toxic Heads look to be pretty Devastating if you do your part ( check the china knockoffs alot cheeper ) meat noodles 6 inches cuts ! Try and practice with what you will be hunting with ( tips and shafts) . Good hunting !

Anything from wasp. I'm a jakhammer fan but the drone looks good too. Slick tricks... anything from NAP.... you really can't go wrong. It's a very competitive market.

Yep! This right here! ^^^^^ I'll only add that you won't eat what you don't hit. If they don't fly well on your rig, it doesn't matter how many guys tell you they are the 'best', they are the wrong ones for you.

I used what I could get cheap that flew OK for my first bow. WalMart, IIRC. Maybe Crappy Tire. Couldn't tell you what they were, maybe Bear.

I switched to Muzzy 100 grain 3 blades when I went to lighter arrows, been happy with them.

Someone told me once that a Muzzy would withstand shooting it into a steel drum, so I tried that with one of my old ones. Amazingly, the blades held up and were not all munged up after the experience!

Lots of the same relationship as fishing lures. Mostly to catch the customer, not the fish, eh?

Cheers

Yeah those Magnus broad heads look pretty mean. I like the 100gr heads the best. I feel like I get better performance when target shooting vs the 125gr

The Excalibur BoltCutter 150gr Broadheads are accurate, sharp and strong. Matrix Crossbow tosses them out precise as the field points..

I like Magnus broadheads, hard to beat for precision and strength.
100gr Magnus Snuffers
And
125gr Magnus Stingers (with bleeder blades)

i have the stinger 2 blade. can confirm they fly true and are silly sharp. almost cut my finger off last week pulling an arrow out of the target. not my finest moment.

my advice. keep it simple.
