I went with the Tactical Solutions dedicated .22 upper. When fed a steady diet of Federal bulk pack, it sings all day (cheaply). It also allows me flexibility, now I can shoot 3 gun matches in 2 classes, rimfire and centerfire. All I have to do is drop my Kimber .22 Conversion kit onto my Colt Government model. The best part is that I can use the same belt kit for competition in both classes.

Any chance of some uppers with ~12" barrels coming in? These look to take the BDM AR22 mags, is that correct?

Thanks,
Mark

We do have a few of the 16'' CMMG uppers available (just not up on the website yet)... I believe they are going to be $499.99

Yes, they take DBM AR-22 mags and drums.

No plans for a 12'' version at this time.

When you figure it out, buying the entire rifle at $719.99 and figure the RRA LPK is worth about $99.99 and the stock is worth $80.00 then the lower receiver is only costing you @ $40 and you can't go wrong for $40 ;)

My indoor range (25yrds) only allows frangible .223 (expensive). When Im in the mood to blast my AR at my range I drop in the CMMG stainless kit with Black Dog mags. The kit runs amazingly well on cheap Win555s!
I have other .22 rifles if I want accuracy.

CMMG makes a dedicated AR upper in 22LR

Spike's Tactical and CMMG also make a 22LR drop-in kit
I own two of CMMG's dedicated .22LR Uppers. I LOVE THEM BOTH!!

Reliable, cheap to shoot, etc...

As far as reliability goes... My .22LR Uppers are more reliable than my Daniel Defense or any of my Piston guns.... And that's saying something considering how extremely reliable my 5.56 uppers are.
