Arsenal Firearms - Strike ONE

Did you have to give interammo the secret Russian handshake to import this for you?

Just jealous :p

Serious note, did it come with three mags?

Interammo is great to deal with, Ben is very accommodating. He got a bunch of these in, and waiting for more..

Comes with two mags and i got two extra ones ($65 each).

Is it just me, or does it look like the grip under the beavertail looks like it would be uncomfortable. The part that sticks out looks like it would dig into the web of your hand.

Or Glock had a baby with Keltec....lol
That's exactly what I was thinking! I must admit it looks bigger than I was expecting it to. Even though it's slim, its height and length surprise me. I'm looking forward to the range report!

I'm curious about this, too. The pictures on their website show a different grip, I think, Or is it an optical illusion?

I thought so too, but it doesn't. I tried to get a very tight grip, pushing the hand against the beaver tail and I couldn't feel that little ridge. It does look different from the original pics, they extended the b.tail and added that thing for support. I think I like it better this way. But I'll have to wait until I shoot it to know for sure.

Russian designed, Italian manufacture I think that's what Larry Vickers said when they tested this pistol on TAC TV last year. The same company also makes a wacky side by side double barrelled 1911 .45.

Arsenal Firearms Introduces Double Barrel Pistol

I found a couple videos on youtube, very interesting design indeed. I have to say I find the pistol extremely ugly, specially in the rail, the gun has square lines all over but all the sudden is rounded around the rails. I have to say that cosmetically, I like the block better but who cares what I like. I might get one of these in the future if the improve the looks! haha

Up on target, one doesn't see much of the "looks" of a pistol. Fits in hand very well, very low bore, points very well.

Can't wait to shoot one. That is more important than looks. How it shoots.

Well, with that mind set then we would all be driving the same car, because after all, one doesn't see much of the looks while behind the steering wheel....
So, no.
I buy guns for many reasons: ergonomics, grips, parts availability, shoot-ability and one of those reasons is looks because I buy them for fun, not for self-defence nor work.
If it was different, maybe how it shoots would be very important but in my personal case, I don't care, it looks ugly... I just wonder how they managed to make SO ugly, because you folks have got to admit, it might be a good shooter but it is ugly. Very ugly.

I think everyone should have one of those. That way if the cops ever take all your guns, they and the press won't be complete liars when they talk about you having an, "arsenal".

Oh sure, totally in agreement. I just rank my preferences. If I could only afford one of two guns being compared, I'd buy the better shooter over the prettier looking gun any day. Feel and performance for me are linked. Can't truly have a good performing gun that doesn't feel good in the hand.

I actually do like how this one looks. I think the textures on grip could have been different. The numbs look a little funny and stippling would be preferred. Overall though, I'm a fan.

Sunday is gonna be a good range day.

I think it says "Made in Italy" on the AF pistol's grip. (fourth picture from top)

From an online review...

"The Arsenal Firearms company manages a main production plant in the northern-Italian town of Gardone Val Trompia – the heartland of the Italian gun industry – and a Russian factory, located in Moscow, where a version of the AF-1 Strike One known as the “Strizh” will be manufactured for the local military and law enforcement."

These pistols are made in Italy. Magazines are produced by Mecgar.

Rear sight is a shame because they could have just made it take a normal rear sight, options for sights is going to be extremely limited. As well making your sight part of the functional parts needed for the gun to work is in my opinion a dumb idea. Sights get caught on things, break, or.whatnot, with this if you break the rear sight you run the risk of having a gun that won't function
