So i am intersted in acquiring the strike one 9mm version could anyone that owns one give me there .50cents on them are they as good as reviewed all over the interweb ?

Seen two new ones break extractors within the first 150 rounds. Also, the mag release sticks on all 3 that I have handled. Taking off the slide reveals LOTS of smaller moving parts when compared to other polymer striker fired pistols. I was extremely turned off to them.
 
Shot one at the range. My friend loves it but I didn't care for the fit, but that's personal. Very accurate. Overpriced imo.
 
On paper they look good. In practice... ? . Im tempted to get one, but I know it's always better to wait for a few revisions/updates to go through when something new comes out.
 
Thanks guys apparently there is a Gen 2 version out at the moment don't know if they have fixed mentioned issues.

i am interested in the strike one or Cz shadow what would you get ?

The parts issue is the deal breaker. Even though the GEN 1 has a catastrophic failure on the line at Target Sports (The slide blew up, maybe it was hot ammo but it was still insane), GEN 2 hasn't been proven to be reliable and parts from Arsenal Firearms are either too expensive or just not in supply.

As much as I love the gun for what it is, shoots like a .22 and is extremely ergonomic, I wouldn't buy it for a long time until it's proven as a reliable gun for IPSC. Until then, the CZ Shadow is king and a no-brainer to own.
 
Get the Gen2 when it comes out. Better sight options.

That being said, I love my Gen1 version. No issues what so ever and several hundred rounds. Very cool pistol. I'll be eyeing up a second when they come out with the Speed model.
 
Also, since you're looking at the CZ Shadow, find a Grand Power excalibur or a K-100 x-trim to shoot. The part support isn't quite there but it's reliability and performance is down solid, and the price is great too. It shoots flat and target acquisition is faster than a CZ Shadow. It may not be your thing so it would be good to shoot one... I've had people I've converted at the range because of the way it shoots.
 
I've not had issues with mine, but only has a hundred or so rounds through it. No slide problems, no extractor problems and the mag release doesn't stick, but I'm not using the ambi release either. Recoil is light. That being said if you're looking at these two gun, go shadow 100% parts availability and accessories are off the shelf. You'll also appreciate a non polymer gun.
 
The sight option and slightly different barrel length are the only change I know of. I hadn't heard reports of issues until this thread.

Any actual owners who have the proof of issues? Have they contacted the service centre? If yes, was the issue resolved? How fast? How much the service cost?

As the dealer/importer, will parts be more available in the future should such issues come up?

I'm totally happy with mine. As an owner and shooter. Can't wait for the newer versions to hit the market, the Speed precisely.
 
More on the issues I experienced - Both firearms had the extractors replaced with no charge, and quickly. Mag release still sticks on all 3 when fully depressed. If i was picking between this and a CZ75, I would definitely go with the CZ. Are you looking to get into IPSC production or something similar? Take a look at Tanfoglio if so. The Stock 3 is like a CZ75, nicer, albeit, a little more $$$.
 
Of the 2, I'd go cz....awesome platform, might trade another pistol for a arsenal, but never the shadow...it's by forhe finest pistol I've shot... It a personal choice, handle them if you can, and go with your gut..
 
Last time I was at the range a fellow there who'd just bought one was having some trouble with his. It was getting light primer strikes on every second round it fed. Very frustrating.

I shot about half a magazine through it, four rounds without a problem then a fifth with a light primer strike again.

He was running Barnaul (115gr I believe.)
 
I had one, it was more accurate than any other plastic framed gun I owned
and easy on recoil, very nice gun, I will buy another when they'll become available.
I'm not afraid for replacement parts, customer service at Interammo is good and efficient.

i am getting the CZ. Is it worth it dropping the extra coined on the Canada edition? Or is the stock version good enough and just get some minor upgrades like handle spring kit ....
