Arsenal Strike one

Thanks again to all your comments!
i am getting the CZ. Is it worth it dropping the extra coined on the Canada edition? Or is the stock version good enough and just get some minor upgrades like handle spring kit ....
down the road.

Right choice.
I'd just stick with the stock shadow. I've been shooting my shadow for many years (IPSC) and believe me when I tell you that most shooters will never "out-shoot" a shadow out of the box, IMHO. I did change to the 11lb main spring and 13 lb hammer spring but the latter was only to lighten up the DA pull for IPSC.

Have you tried the Strike One or Strike One Speed?

Have you thought about actually sourcing out the guns you are considering and shooting them before you buy?

I have done a fair amount of research on both Pistols and on paper the strike one looks outstanding but the amount of aftermarket parts / accessories are limited.
I have shoot the CZ numerous times and like the feel of it ! I just sold my M&P pro wasn't what i was looking for !!

I haven't tried the strike one to be fair and i highly appreciate the offer i got from xdmer and the fair sale price for that matter!

i will send you a PM so that we can setup a date for me to try your Strike one!!

If i like it i get both!!!

Thanks for all the support guys !!!

I had the chance to put three mags through a Strike One on the weekend. I also had the chance to shoot a Tanfoglio Stock III and a CZ Shadow on the weekend. It's the first time I've shot any of them.

I shot the Strike One more accurately than either the Tanfo or Shadow. The trigger on the Strike One had a long, light rolling take up and light break. I like it, but I like a rolling trigger. It's reset was a little long and I short stroked it a few times when shooting it at speed, but I'm sure I could get used to it. Recoil impulse wasn't any less than other pistols I've tried, but I'm not a big believer in the whole height over bore discussion. The sights weren't terrible, even for a Gen 1 pistol. The mag well is huge, and the best designed of any Tupperware pistol I've shot. Mag release was huge and extended, and the ribbs and nibs on the pistol were good enough to get a grip on the thing.

I was underwhelmed by the Tanfo and the Shadow. Considering how much good I've read about both guns I was expecting to shoot little bitty cloverleafs while virgins riding unicorns pranced on rainbows behind me. That didn't happen unfortunately. The Shadow had a better trigger than the Tanfo and the reset on the Shadow is pure awesome, but other than that, Meh.

Full 360 has a vid about the Strike One starring me! Lol.

I have a Strike One and a Shadow. New Shadows can be finicky and need some spring changes to optimize them but the weight of the gun and the smooth trigger press are noteworthy.

My Strike feels like it's softer recoiling and faster to recover. Yes there are more small parts but I've gone 1200 rounds with 3 malfunctions that we're all related to one bad mag. The trigger is soft and somewhat mushy and takes getting used to.

I also run a Glock 17 a lot and the Strike One is a bit more ergonomic right out of the box.

As to the mag release issues that were cited. I only run the left side release and have no issues but there is a shield at the back of the release that could interfere under duress/stress.

I have Shadow Canadian edition and Shadow Orange. It is one of the best production division pistol you can get.
Shot my friend's Strike one gen one last week and I was shocked by the accuracy and felt recoil. The trigger was a little musky but it might not broke in yet. I am looking for more information on the speed model and this could be my next production division pistol.

I was at P&D in Edmonton a week ago and they had a Canadian in their used stock . I didn't handle it but it looked beautiful under the glass . Sorry , I don't remember the price , but give them a call if you're interested .
That red aluminum is so sweet looking !

I've shot 4 of them now (Strike One) and all 4 had the same issue, this includes the one I put about 1000 rounds through in Norway last fall, the mags fall out during the firing sequence, and no it's not because I touched the mag release, or didn't insert the mag all the way, the release doesn't engage properly and during firing the mags will drop. 4 different guns, two continents, totally different production runs. So, nope, I wouldn't buy one.

Wow, you are lucky :) I am sure it was the same run regardless the continents. The problem with a faulty mag catch was resolved long time. And on the guns out there with this issue the permanent fix takes less than a minute.

A customized Strike One, sorry for the poor pic...the main changes are:
custom trigger job - reduced trigger weight, reduced trigger pull and reset,
sights - rear adjustable sight, front elongated fiber-optic sight, both sights are tall for co-witness,
machined slide for the red dot sight,
Longer mag release button

This next is one of the custom jobs done in states:

Cerakote two tone
Lightning cuts
Porting
Reduce trigger pull to 3 lbs
Stipple frame
Machining for aftermarket sight
Red Dot Optical
Grip Inlays

wow they look amazing love the second one.

thanks for the pics !! is there any news on when the speed model is available ? And how much would it roughly cost for all the upgrades ?

The last Strike One I shot was 3 weeks ago, still puking mags. Unless it took the slow boat to get here, it's still an issue. I guess if it's replacement comes out to a class, or the new, better shows up, and that one comes out, and they do better, I'll maintain my opinion on them.

I handled a Strike one and I wasn't impressed. The trigger is crap, mushy, stagy and over all felt very rough. The price is way to much for a piece of Russian junk. I know its made in Italy but it still a Russian design. Thanks but no thanks, not going to support Russia.
