Article: 3 Point Slings

I found that the simplest method of "getting into" my BFG sling when in 3-point configuration is grasp the part of the sling that goes on the body with both hands, then (watching muzzle direction) with the rifle across the front of my chest with the muzzle to the left, slip the sling over my head so that the rifle is still in front of me. Then put my left arm through the sling. The rifle will then fall naturally across the chest, the sling is over the right shoulder, and the muzzle is pointing downward and to the front left at about 45 deg. Practice this a dozen or so times until the "muscle memory" kicks in, then you'll find that you can do it easily with just the left hand on the sling, while retaining proper control of the rifle by grasping the pistol grip with the right hand. (Any of you young whipersnappers who think this is funny please write these instructions down, date it and then refer to it again when you're 60 :p ...Trust me, it won't seem so funny then. )
The BFG sling is the most comfortable and practical of all the 3-point slings that I've tried on my AR.

Single point sling. 2 point and 3 point are worn in the same way. Over the stong shoulder under the weak armpit.
