True but why would you not want to protect yourself as much as possible from this sort of thing. If I had a choice over getting a moose by not wearing orange and risk getting shot or not getting it and being able to hunt another day in one piece I think I would choose the orange!
 
WOW!! How the f**k do you shoot something that is not identified as 100% what you have on your tag? Sound shooting is SO stupid. What part of the "moose" was he aiming at? That twit should have his rights reduced to NIL as far as firearms are concerned.

BTW, Thanks Foxer for the tip on moose calling download, I was quite surprised at the right way it is supposed to sound.

100% agreed,

Its either time to start discouraging these one wea year maniacs from going out at all or start encouraging them to learn the damn rules and how to use commom sense.
 
BTW, it is mandatory to wear orange when hunting with rifles, crossbows and muzzleloaders

And i agree, these retards shouldnt be allowed to own a firearm EVER again
 
PROBLEM #1 to many hunters , who in there right mind would even take 3 hunters out , its not legal in BC and I would tell my outfitter to suck my _______ if they asked , 2 hunters is a handfull , the sad truth is though this is not new, I know of 3 guides that have been shot over the years by over-eager hunters , and people ask why I am retiring from guiding so early in life :lol:

It is mandatory to wear blaze orange during gun seasons in Quebec.


I cant believe the guy who shot the guide actually lives 15 minutes away from me... i'm scared... heck i might even know the guy... I sure hope not.

Yeah - and if he grunts when you do it shoot him and tell the cops you thought it was a moose :lol:

I always like to believe there may be more to the story, that perhaps there's some detail we didn't get that explains this kind of blatant stupidity. But - i'm having a tough time imagining what it might be in this case.

The first thing that crosses my mind when wondering why someone gets shot is... is it about money or a woman... :shock:
Most of us cannot imagine this type of accident happening to us or our friends, :?
But... it obviously can and does happen, maybe we should all take a deep breath and think about how we can make our own hunts safer :idea:

If the guide wasnt wearing a full life size moose costume I see no other option but to lay blame on the shooter.

I'm heading out bow hunting for deer on saturday in an area where there is no other rifle big game season open (bear is iopen) and I'm considering wearing blaze.................. :shock:


There is no excuse for shooting at an unidentified target.............NONE!


Do you know how many sounds I could have shot at this weekend when I was bow hunting for deer............like 200. One turned out to be a deer and I didnt get a shot, but at least I didnt shoot my dad comming over for a coffee.
