artillery shells what do I got

Shells with the holes are recoil less rifle rounds. Could be wrong, but the bottle necked looks like a a 75mm, the straight one a 106 mm.

They had tanks in 1914 ?
German. Kalsruhe is a German city, where it was made at Kalsruhe cartridge factory. Live primer? Grizz

You do not have SHELLS. You have Cases. Shells are the objects that come out of the end of the barrel when fired, and if you are very close when they land, it can spoil your whole day.
If you want any specific information on what you have, then you are going to have to post good clear pictures of the base of the Cases where all the information is stamped.
While the cases for the recoilless rifle are easy to identify, trying to give you an accurate idea of what you have is impossible because many Cases are similar in shape and size, but are for two totally different field guns.

That particular 57mm is from one of the guns aboard the A7Vs that fought at Villers-Bretonneux. The guns were Naval in origin, same as the 6-pdr Hotchkiss guns on our Tanks.
OUR Tanks (the good ones) had 6-pdr naval guns which fired a 57mm projectile.
The BAD Tanks (A7V) had 57mm naval guns which fired 6-pound projectiles.
See?
All the difference in the world!

Well, now you ARE an expert on part of it.
They are still cases.
The word "shell" scares the crap outta a lot of people.... for good reason.
Post some photos and measurements and somebody will tell you exactly what you have.

most artillery shells have an ignition tube/primer assembly that screws into the base, looking for pics now
