As light and as small as possible ?

Hi all,

looking for a new scope for a 308 precision rifle with a 20" barrel.
Requirements:

- As short, as light as possible
- Great glass
- External turrets
- Mil/Mil
- min mag: 3-5, max > +10
- Illumination

NF 2.5-10 would be a winner if it had external turrets.
So far Vortex 4-16 fits the bill but glass is said to be not that great.
Any recommendation?

I was in the same boat buy for my .223. I wanted even more magnification though.
I might break the bank and go with a sightron S3.
