Some of you may find this interesting. This is one of a set of three ashtrays that my mother received from her cousin in England. He was a member of an Antiaircraft Battery during the Battle of Britain. He told my mom that the aluminum used in to cast the ashtrays came from a German aircraft that the battery had shot down. In the center of the ashtray is a grenade with Ubique written on a ribbon. Ubique is one of the mottos of the Artillery.
