Got one dropped off in pieces ,down loaded the Savage manual.
Not a lot of help .little sketchy on the trigger group.
Does de Haas cover this one ,or any other books ?
Any help would be great.
Thx Ed

I have one but in the lower mainland. Maybe someone close can lend theirs.
If nothing else comes through, I don't have a problem lending mine.

The 93 will be more than similar for you so if you have 93 info it should be good to use, only actual different or barrel bore, and the magazine well plus accosiated parts, any other stuff you see that looks different is just small changes over the years on the production line.

I have both and have seen others that have small details that are different but not whole lot, mainly some have a stud and nut on the mag guild some have a short stud and press retainer, that and noticed the trigger housing on some look stamped and others look cast.

Anyway, so search 93R17 also, and determine the age of yours and if it's a E reciever or not and you can use the 93 info found as all E receivers are pretty much the same.

Try searching some trigger job videos, look for appachee trigger kit install, it pretty much covers the trigger assembley.

Take a look at this video.
Its for the instalation of the Apachee kit ( which reduce the trigger pull of the accutrigger ) BUT you must basically disassemble the whole trigger group to do so.
In the video, it show dissassembly and re-assembly.

Hope this help...

BE EXTRA CAREFUL WITH THE TRIGGER GUARD. One of the screws threads into the stock and strips easily.
