A'stan deployment weapon essentials?

When I left in November, the APO's were still shut down for the Canadian contingent. We were lucky to have US Army hook-ups at the PRT.

I would definitely bring a better weapon mounted light...the Surefires issued to the US troops, were far better than those issued by the CF.

One Shot is a KAC Mil/LE dealer - unfortunately unless your unit will sign a DSP-83 for you to get something, they cannot deal with individual CF or LE Members, it is unfortunately the way that DOS requires us (KAC) to sell to them.

The problem comes from the fact that a great deal of our items are used by the US and friendly militaries, and as soon as something has an NSN, the DOS seems to believe it has no civilian (at least foriegn civilian) usage.
