Have you identified the specific reason they won't work in the T97?

Last I checked, more mags in more colors should be available somehwere towards the end of the month.

Because clearly the T97 wasn't made to proper specs as it doesnt accept most AR15 mags like its supposed to.

Then why aren't the mags an issue in other stanag accepting rifles?

Mil spec isn't a standard of excellence. There are other AR mags that don't fit in high end ARs that have higher tolerances. I believe Daniel Defence ARs don't like Oberland Arms polymer mags, and those are two quality pieces of kit on their own.

I'm not saying the type 97 is DD spec, I'm just saying that if you build something and don't factor in loose tolerances for wide market acceptance, other manufacture's parts won't fit.

Gen 2 pmags are no good in a Tavor without mods, yet no one complains that the Tavor is not built to spec.

I see where your coming from, Noveske Gen 2 lowers dont take gen 3 pmags I believe as well but that is just one mag. The T97 only accepts one mag, theres a large difference. Magpul also changed their design so it would fit into more AR platforms, so by changing it to fit in others it may have made it so it doesnt fit in one

. The T97 only accepts one mag...

So far DH, magpul gen2, several generic 20 and 30 round stanag, and LAR all work. I did have a opulent of fail to feed issues with the LAR due to the feed ramp but several hundred rounds down range seems to have smoothed that out a bit and no issues now.

Bushmaster metal mag, CAA polymer (Beowulf and atrs makers), and Oberland do not, and it is all because they have a slightly thicker spine ridge, and not by much. Polishing the sides of this "valley" should solve the issue, as documented in the "how to improve your type 97" thread.
