At it again...I have a possible 55 gallon barrel full of lead on the line

Guy got back to me and says he gets $0.47/lbs

If anyone wants I can offer $0.50 but I am out at that price

...yes, getting a bit steep isn't it? ...when the price of metals spiked a few years back i visited all the local shops before they knew what was going on ...i still get them for free, in exchange for a few fishing jigs, but i suspect it's coming to an end soon here too

Paid $20 for a bucket of WW. After sorting and digging through by volume half the bucket was scrap, by weight 36lbs was lead. So that 55gal bucket, that all confirmed lead or mix of all WW?

Yeah, with all the zinc and steel wheel weights showing up today you can't just assume that a 50 pound bucket will yield you nearly that weight in lead based alloy like in the old days. Damn zinc.

I just picked up a bucket of wheel weights. I think there was 70 lbs lead, 7 lbs stick on, and 23 lbs of steel, zinc and plastic coated steel. There was actually very few zinc weights. Most of the scrap ones were steel.
