At last, she is done (well...that's my best guess anyhow). She is an armalite lower and 14.5" barrel 1/9 twist, spike's tactical guard, noveske upper receiver, bcm gunfighter charging handle, miad grip, moe handguard, can't remember the verticle front grip make but it holds the flashlight switch nicely, ubr stock, ms2 sling, yankee hill folding rear peep site, rra ambi selector, fenix flashlight and mount, aimpoint ml3 red dot, most importantly the enhanced strike pad for the ubr for smashing that paper target right in the face!

The hardest part was getting an ms2 sling that wasn't a fake! The answer to that problem is questar by the way.

If I was offer any suggestions, it would be to get a F'n camera!
 
You may think you're "done" but you're not...that's the reality of owning an AR!
I went done that road for about 3yrs "dressing/undressing" mine like a Barbie Doll. It finally ended when I sold it....now I have another coming:eek:

Nice rifle man.. I'm really digging the UBR .
As a side note :) you do need a camera, or at least an i-phone 4... :)

yeah getting your rifle in the nuts when a pistol is in your hand sucks...Barrel in the mud while kneeling sucks :D

For CQB I was told this was a good way to go. There is no kneeling or anything...rifle in the nuts is a definite possibility that I had not considered though lol I never googled that one...
 
I can't tell due to you takin the pic under water but doesn't look like you decided to add a good brake. When I switched to the DLask "PWS Copy" my groups at CQB got tighter and follow up shots where quicker. It was recommended by a guy that kept getting first place He compared it to the real PWS brake and said it was either just as good or better due to the slightly long prongs DLask put on it possibly to avoid copyright infringement. lol If you did this build specifically for the Borden CQBs I would put a good brake at the top of your list.
 
I'vr tried the single-point setup to death and I keep going back to a 2-point adjusted to *just* allow a proper grip at extension. Seems the most handy for me.

I doubt I would even run a single point now unless it was a very short PDW.
 
Another change I would recommend for a 14.5" carbine is to ditch the UBR stock. They are UBER-heavy and tend to accentuate muzzle flip by pivoting the rifle around your wrist. Something light and solid is a better bet. Maybe try a CTR.
 
Blue Force/Vickers is now offering an attachment to easilly convert your 2-point to a single point in @ 1second w/practice. They are also offering a complete sling with upgrade already installed and a grip enhancement on the pull tab.

The UBR is IMO one of the best stocks available right now but Claven2 is correct about how they feel on a short rifle. Anything over that 14.5 barrel lenth is well served by the UBR. There are lots of factors involved with stocks,If you are big and above average strenth/fitness your UBR should fare just fine and serve you well. They are well worth the weight trade off IMO.CTR is not my favorite....pour cheek weld,sloppy eye candy, at best but better than standard M4 colapsable. And yes I have 3 CTR's and don't like any of them except the one I permanantly affixed at perfect LOP for me(NO more slop).
