- First batch from Lever was 1974 and cost $215 with bayonet.SNs were AD61___ era. Next batch was 1980. AD 69 and AD70s. Non-restricted until about.. what? 1984?Actually Lever flooding the market with cheap L1A1 had a lot to do with FN FAL being reclassified as restricted, then prohib. Up until that point, FN FAL/L1A1 was non restricted, quite expensive, rather rare and hadn't made it to the radar of politicians, police and news reporters. That was all change when Lever made L1A1 so affordable even a guy on McD wage could just walk into his store and left with a L1A1 tugged under his arm. Politicians, police and anti news media began to freak.
If the media was freaking then, we didn't hear about it. God Bless Alan Lever for providing FN rifles to the masses, and to Hell with the weenies who worry about too much of a good thing.
- So... How many M305s are in the country waiting for Landslide Annie to finish milking the Oil Patch and become a Senator?
