Typically I practice at several distances. Usually warming up with reload drills at the 10m distance. Then I place targets at 10, 15, 20, 25m distances, and practice, all from the same station. This way I can practice POA/POI.
After I run through through the course of fire, if I have time, I'll practice 'target' shooting with the reactice steels at the 30m line.
So typicailly a range day I run through from 10-30m, however I don't move to the next target unelss I get consistent groups to the 5/A/-0 zone, and of that, double taps at the 10
