are the base pads removable for cleaning? thanks

No they are not removable without destruction/modification of the mag (ie. the legal equivalent of drilling out a rivet).
It's a stainless steel spring internally, so you can flush them with soapy water and rinse if they get very dirty.
They are internally limited in capacity as opposed to a rivet, this requires that the unit be "permanently" locked together.

I had mine out with my XCR-L last outing, I have three of the ATRS mags, one of them had the first two rounds loaded jamming and wouldn't let the follower lift. It happened twice to where I could take the mag out of my gun and shake the bullets out of the magazine. I didn't do much more shooting that day but my other two mags worked flawlessly. I am trying to get out to test more and isolate it to that one magazine. I will update this post when I can.

Big thanks to the guys at ATRS! Emailed them for a quote on 4 in OD, they got back to me in minutes. Sent my payment through and in less than two hours, got notification they were in the mail and on the way to my door. Very rarely ever see service that fast. Can't wait to get these home and try them out. Well done ATRS!

Just bought a few today.
They are slightly shorter than a USGI mag, and will hang up rounds if they are loaded long.
I didn't put the callipers to them, but I tried loading some handloads that were 2.265" oal and the tip of some of the rounds (77smk) were dragging at the front inside of the mag.
If you are using handloads, it would be wise to play it safe at 2.250" (or even less) oal.

Great mags overall. The only nice to have on them that I could see adding to future orders is the two indents for USGI stripper clip guides, and maybe an optional add-on base to allow easier monopoding off a mag in the prone.

Bought ten of these and I absolutely love them...they are not pmag but hey, pmag don't hold ten rounds! I prefer these to the LAR mags...I run these in ARs with 55gr FMJ.

Is there a specific pistol mag for 6.5CM? If so are they stock or special order? I will need 3 extra when my MH arrives Sept. Let me know if I have to come and prepay.

The Modern Hunter uses a 308 mag regardless of caliber. Current production rifles are shipping with an XCR-M 10 round pistol mag, spares are available. Just make sure to let us know you want extra mags.
