ATC holders - Lower Mainland get together shoot Fri. Mar. 23, 10AM Date Changed!

The ATC shoot for ATC holders and wannabe's is on for Friday, Mar. 23, 10 AM at the Ridgedale Rod and Gun club.

See Post #13 for details.

We'll meet at the sign-in station at 10 AM.

Please let me know if you are planning on attending as we will have to arrange for sufficient Ridgedale members.

I'm trying to be there...

My mother in law is coming to stay with us so I now have a bit of leeway.

That is if my wife isn't in the hospital giving birth that day. :)

Damn!
As I work afternoon shift, I usually miss out on all the evening stuff.
So now, finally something in the morning, and I have something else planned.

Come on out any way we will figure something out. Doesn't my membership in Mission qualify me as an associate member? So I may not need to be part of Geologist's group...

Any chance I can hang out with someone after the shoot? I want to do the S & D with Slavex at 7:00 and would rather not have to drive to N.V. and back again.

Well guys I just got back from the shoot.

I couldn't stay as long as I would have liked because my pregnant wife (she was due yesterday) is having contractions every 10 minutes or so right now...

4 of us showed up Ike, Colin, Geologist and myself.

They were still at it shooting clay pigeon's out in the rain when I left... :shotgun:

We all had a chance to try out each others handguns, rifles and shotguns...

I had a great time guys, we'll have to try this again when the weather is a little more cooperative...

We took pictures it will just be a bit before I can post mine being that I have a few slightly more important things to do right now...

Ok I have a few minutes...

Here are some of the rifles and shotguns we brought... :shotgun:

Thanks to Ike, Colin and Camp Cook for coming ourt to the rainy ATC shoot.

We had a great time and made a lot of noise!

Pictures and video were captured by Camp Cook and Colin. Hopefully they will post when they have time.

Ike did some interesting work with his chrony on .454 Casull revolvers and short barreled 870 shotguns (with slugs) of different barrel length. Perhaps he'll give us his conclusions.

On a more important note: Camp Cook, are you a new father again yet?

Today Saturday March 24 2007 at 3:26pm I became the proud father of a 7lbs 8oz perfectly formed healthy baby boy...

It was a natural birth after many long hours of very intense contractions for my wife...

We arrived at the Langley hospital @ 11:30pm Friday night and I have just got back home...

My wife is still there with her mother and Jaiden or new son...

I'm going back tomorrow to pick them up and bring them home...

I called my 22 year old son who is going to college in Alberta and said hey listen too this...

I then placed the phone in front of Jaiden's mouth so he could hear his brother's first cries...

I'll post a picture of my new prospecting/hunting/shooting partner as soon as I can...

I was a good day today...

Hey guys, I got home fine but found that my internet server was down so couldn't post earlier.

Congratulations Camp on your new son's arrival!!!! I think we all shared your nervous energy when your cell phone went off while we were shooting

I had a blast at the shoot, unfortunately the weather wasn't so great and we didn't video much of the shooting, but we did shoot a lot :) Geo's 375 was fun to shoot and I was in awe of the devestation factor associated with the heavy 45-70 hotloads that CC had. We shot some skeet after CC left and did some shotgun malfunction clearance drills as well. I will post the chrony data on a different post once I get a chance to do some more testing with different slugs.

Overall a great time and thanks to Geologist for setting it up, we should do it again! :)

Cheers

The good thing is that I was able to show the brusie on my shoulder to my wife to explain why I need to spend more money for a Spec-ops stock. Once she saw the bruise she agreed!!
