Hey guys, here is something new, but unfortunately, it is already prohibited. This carbine was announced prohib two days after i got a registration email from RCMP. So by the time I received it, I couldn't even test it out.
This gun is designed and built in USA by IRUNGUNS and ATF. It is based on 3rd gen glock and shares many parts. Comes with Faxon match barrel, and Timney trigger. It has a top charging handle that is mounted via "optic ready" slot on the top of the slide.
The frame, upper receiver cover and stock are 3d printed, but it was mentioned that very strong material is used. So over all fit and finish is very nice if you dont mind visible 3d printed layering in some areas. Ergonomics are great as well.
So far, there are few things that I wish were different. For example, folding mechanism housing and latch are polymer. Although the stock is very sturdy without any wobble, at least for now. And the 10rd magpul drum doesn't fit, the loading lever hits the frame bridge area just 3-4 millimeters short. Other than that it's a very smooth, comfortable gun.
Thanks IRUNGUNS for making it happen, now we just have to wait for new government and hope no buyback is coming.
I assume that very small number of these made it in before the ban. The first batch was probably small to start with, who knows how many rcmp managed to register in few days that it had.. anyways, here are some pics.
The material has dark blue hue to it, which i find pretty cool.
