Athlon warranty in Canada

My exchange for a defective scope from the factory, went really smooth, had a new one in about 2 weeks from filling out the form. I did follow up with a phone call the day after filling out the form, and 2 days after my return was signed for.

I'd have been happier if I could have removed the battery cover on the original scope, but #### happens, no complaints about the process after the fact.

Received my replacement scope.
I'm all done, Wolverine was decent to deal with, basically a three month turn-around...I've seen much worse from Bushnell.

I've had two replacement Athlons through Wolverine, good experience with both.
First was a second hand Midas Tac that the Ele turret was damaged when rifle fell over. I expected to pay something on that one when I sent it in but nada, about 2 week turn around I had a new unit.

Second was a Talos BTR the ocular bell came loose and began rotating with mag adjustment. I tried to tighten it back up but that didn't work. Tore an oring inside and could be seen looking through he optic. That one went in and about 2wk latter I had a new unit and it was even an upgrade to the Gen2.

Athlon has become my go to now and as long as after sales service stays as it is I will keep buying them.

Came here to the optics forum to see what the consensus is on all of these no-name brands sprouting up in the last few years.

Your post and the OP does nothing but confirm my suspicions. My go to has to be something that does not need warranty work. If I had similar experiences I’d be looking elsewhere in a hurry.

1Shot - I've had an Athlon Argos Gen-2, 8-34x56 FFP-IL for just a month under 2-years, with NO Probs so I can't talk about warranty. Getting answers on Warranty work w/o knowing how many scopes have been sold is useless IMO. On my CZ 457-VMTR in 22LR I'm getting under 1" at 100-yds with 'medium-grade' ammo like SK+ and SK-RM . . .and I'm just shooting off a bipod/bag, nothing fancy. My scope is fine for me.
You got answers about 'bad' Athlons and Leupolds, and we 'all know' how many Vortex go bad . . .

Korth is great to deal with regarding Leupold warranty, Athlon does offer a good warranty and Wolverine Supplies has been great to deal with and stands behind their products in my experience. Can’t go wrong with either.

Did you go directly to Athlon or through a reseller? According to their return policy, you have to go through the reseller internationally?

Thanks!

Warranty was handled by Wolverine Supplies. Can't remember the exact process, but it involved an online form, and you pay to return it to them, Athlon pays the return trip.

Check their website, or give them a call.

I've had people express a similar sentiment on the firing line about me tapping my turrets on a cheap, but functional scope, bottom line, my $400 Cabela's scope has performed to date as well as a scope I have that cost 4X as much. It's not as nice to look through, but it tracks accurately. I've been quite happy with it.

A scope that doesn't need a warranty would mean I don't shoot much for a year, or two to pay for it. If it's a working rifle, that's different, but it's not my profession anymore, and I'm not taking a week off work to shoot a match, saving a $1k+ just means I get to shoot more that year.
