ATI 8 sided free float handguard - Picatinny Rail Question

Hey guys.

So I bought an ATI 8 sided handguard.. which is awesome btw! Problem is, it only came with one 12 inch pic rail, one 6 inch and one 4 inch...

That's cool an all, but I want 2 or 3 more 12 inch pic rails and cannot seem to find any.

I contacted ATI direct and they want over $35 bucks for each rail.. is this normal.. seems expensive???

Can't I just use any old 12inch pic rail? if so, where's the best place to pick one up? what about hardware?

You can buy uncut lengths of pic rails in varying sizes. Sometimes they have holes tapped sometimes not.

Not sure of any brand, but you could also look at whoever makes polymer pic rails. Lighter and probably cost less.

Magpul Polymer ones I think only come as long as 4.9", but Leapers/UTG makes 6" rails, so double up.
