Can someone clue me in which is the best of the bunch in terms of material (is the ATI polymer or metal?), mounting (S&K seems short), and availability for purchase in Canada, or ease of importation from the US.

Optics Planet sells the B-Square, the one I'm heavily leaning to, but advised me it may be restricted entry to Canada. I'm assuming it will be the same for the other two.

If anyone has any contacts/access to these, it would be much appreciated.

Oh, and Marstar is sold out of the ATI.

thanks.

They are happy to take your visa number and will ship to you fast by post. I've bought from them twice.... easier to deal with than anyone south of the border ;)

Their list price is around 85 pound (pause for effect) sterling ('cause that's how brits say it, lol! :D). What did you pay?

It's not entry into Canada that's restricted, but exit from the U.S.A. may be.

The web site for Numrich Gun Parts has a section on foreign orders that lists parts and accessories and specific guns that are restricted from export. Scope mounts and Lee-Enfields aren't on the list. That suggests Optics Planet weren't sure and were being cautious in what they told you.

Numrich has a couple of scope mounts for Enfields, including a replica No.4T mount and pads (no screws), but not including the B-Square you favour.

Thanks for that. This whole export thing from USA is confusing. I couldn't find the B Square on the Numrich site. I'm trying to figure out if it'll be cheaper to fix and remount the weaver base on the rifle, or get the Armalon.

Unless there is user input on the hold to Zero of the ATI or B Square which is MUCH cheaper.

Thanks.

From Armalon
The Armalon No.4 mount (in stock) is ÂŁ72.00 plus ÂŁ9.00 International Signed For postage = ÂŁ81.00. Sterling payment only
LOL!!!!

I love the Brits!!!

HeadSpace, went with the Armalon mount, and you are very right. It is worth every penny. My first impression of it was this (I emailed the within minutes of opening of the package)
Peter and Anne,

My mount arrived today, and I was more than pleased. This, is the epittomy of what quality manufacturing and engineering should be. It is obvious the pride you take in your craftsmanship, and it is a shame we live in a world where the bottom line dictates the product quality can be marginalized by moving production offshore, in the name of profitability. This is old school quality, and is a breath of fresh air to what we have been missing out on. You are proud Briton's, those of a breed that value hard work, innovation, and steadfast proprietary integrity. You're product exuded this as first glanced and held it.

Thank you for your prompt delivery, and outstanding product

Here it is mounted up. This, is the way to go. I have no doubt it will shoot well, I'll keep this updated.

MikiP, your rifle looks alot like mine haha! I picked up an ATI mount for it, it is aluminum but the thing I dont like about it is they made it undersized between the rear sight ears. They say its for windage adjustment, I say its a one size fits all kind of deal. Anyways I'll know if it holds zero as soon as I can get it out to shoot.

Lemme know man. Looks like we have the same tastes. I'm just trying to make the best of what I have, and what my Dad gave me.

I have an ATI mount and so long as you tighten everything down and use some blue loctite or similar, you should not have a problem. keeps zero and at 50m was getting a decent 1.2-2inch groups. If my scope had not broke (distortion over 4x) id be doing well at 100 but was getting 5-6inch groups.

I've tried all three for the #1 Mk. III's & my hands down favourite is ATI.

L85 S for a mount??

So you paid almost $300.00 for that mount (L85, plus VAT at 17.5%, plus shipping, plus duty at 28.5% (UK is no longer MFN status, they are the same as any 3rd world $hite-hole , WAIT, those countries have developing nation exemption), plus GST. For that money , I would have gone to an EAW rolloff 190 mount.

They are not supposed to charge VAT on export goods. (If you are over there visiting and you pay VAT on stuff you buy you can get a form to send UK customs afterwards to apply for a VAT refund on things you took out. )

Um... no, I didn't pay $300 for this mount. Less than half that actually, around $125 with shipping. Thanks for your rant though, and merry Christmas to you
