Looking at getting a folding stock for my Maverick 88 as I'm looking to reduce length for storage. This seems to be least expensive option and is readily available. My big concern is the all polymer construction holding up to 12ga recoil as well as cheek weld. What say the guru's of CGN?

Top folders plain suck, all the ones I've tried have been awkward and uncomfortable to shoot. I'd actually rather just go PGO than use a top folder.
A better option for a bit more money is the Butler creek side folder.
Be aware though that just about any shotgun folding stock is going to be less comfortable to shoot than a fixed stock.

I tried one before(ATI top folder), and just from firing, nothing prolonged here, there is part of the "hinge" that the second knuckle on my thumb is resting one that gets beat to hell after "pumpin a few good loads" through it.
I wouldn't piss on ATI if it was on fire. Thats just me. Its uncomfortable period. Its also made for little girl hands. If it works for you, then all the hell to ya. This is just my experience with it. Piss.
The factory Remington top folders were more comfortable for the hands, but if you are using a cheek weld and doing ALOT of shooting, you may feel it in the face over the course of a day. If you can find one of those, take it over the ATI if you have your heart set on a top folder.
Play around with a couple different stocks, or friends different stocks to see what suits you best, what fits you, and go from there.

Ok, seems like my hunch was right all along. Seems like Butler Creek is the recommended folder on the market, does anyone have them in stock? I know it's not going to be very comfortable, but I would like to keep overall length to a minimum.
Looks like you've already decided, but I would never buy another ATI top folder either.

Don't know if there are AR adapters available for the maverick, but if there are you could rig up something like this. Solid lock up and nice foam cheek rest. Or whatever AR stock you prefer, just screw into the folding mechanism.

i have a knoxx recoil absorbing top folder on my mav 88, its pretty klunky folded, but man does it soak up the recoil
