I'm a bit confused. I look at weather reports and it seems like cities with elevations that are different by 1500' are showing the same pressure. Then I look at places like wikipedia which show graphs that suggest a 0.5km elevation difference should have about a 5 kPa pressure difference.
Could it be that weather websites are reporting an 'adjusted for elevation' pressure, which means we should not use their pressure reading when entering data into the ballistic calculator? I don't have an independent / absolute way of measuring atmospheric pressure where I am and then comparing to weather report.
