ATRS Modern hunter specs, pics and range reports

I'm not sure what all the excitement is about but I finally got a chance to mount a scope and zero mine at 25 yards.

That's all I can do in my back yard. Xcr 10 round mags worked flawlessly.
 
I sold all but one of my gen 2 pmags because I will run atrs mags in my atrs modern hunter! I see no reason to run hard to find gen 2 pmags when there will be a limitless supply of Canadian made mags that were designed to fit the rifle. And the metal xcr mags are a bit short when trying to handle them/get them out of a pouch, so these should fix that complaint as well. When they're ready, I'll take 6 please!

I'm hope the short 5 round magazine is just long enough to make it easy to put in and remove the magazine
Ther is no advantage to packing a long magazine in heavy bush
 
I believe they are the equivalent of what a 15 round mag would be. Shorter than a 20 rd magpul, but longer than the xcrm metal mags made by Asc.

The prototype mag you saw at the shop is a 3D print so essentially just made of "ink" hencer the white color.
The actual resin that is used to make the production mags is a glass reinforced polymer.
As with out AT15 mags we would need to purchase the custom colored resins to make colored mags. the minimum quantity of resin will make 50000 mags per color, so a large investment is involved.

Once we have the black mags complete, we may look at bringing in the OD and FDE resins with the idea of splitting the amount of resin between AT15 mags and the XCR-M mags.
For the moment though we are taking baby steps in this venture as we do not want a repeat of the AT15 mag debacle.

Picked up my preowned MH last night, some of you may recognize it. All I can say is wow. Shame on me for being the tiniest bit skeptical and not jumping aboard in the first run, but now that I have a first run custom serialed MH I can tell you there will be no hesitation on the MV or MM.

That is my rifle before some mods. That is a 10 rd 308 pmag gen 3.
They don't feed reliably which is too bad because they would have been prefect with the ranger plates.

Thanks. That is a nice build, purplezuk. Too bad the mag doesn't work. I'm tempted by the gun but i don't want a mag that is any longer than that one. I want a 308 auto but all the 5/20 or 5/25 mags that i see with these guns don't seem that practical for bush work

GDawg, the metal xcr-m mags made by Asc are exactly what you want then and are easy to find. They make a 5rd and a 10rd pistol mag that is actually shorter than the magpul 10rd mag. I have a few and could email you pictures if you'd like

Thanks. Yes that would be great. Sorry to rehash all of this ATRS. After reading more of this thread and the other, I see this topic has been discussed thoroughly. I'm not a AR guy so this is all very new to me.
 
None of the factory rounds I have tried work as good as my 168 AMAX Varget handloads. **Update 4895 is even better and way easier on brass Varget has to much port pressure and is over gassing the rifle***
