ATRS Modern hunter specs, pics and range reports

The UBR works but requires a little file work. Nothing major just take it down until the slide doesn't hit the stock. I left mine so it just touches the stock when all the way back, it's slowly wearing a little groove in what's left. And that's a great idea, I noticed the lug scratches as well. And I second that, they fit me in on short notice as well for the barrel swap. Can't wait for that 6.5 Grendel Varmint! Gotta get some guns sold!

ATRS err's on the side of caution because if they said all stocks fit then I am positive some owner will call and complain their stock is getting marked up. This way the liability lies with the owner and not ATRS.

What did ya get? So many options with these beauties, I did the Magpul enhanced mag release the other day, enhanced butt pad right after the proof barrel, I wonder what will follow me home from the LGS next time.

Did Some shooting over the weekend,

This is some factory Hornady 6.5 CM 143 gr precision hunter ammo they say 2700 FPS on the box, but I dont have a crony so i can't confirm that

here's two 5 shot groups. That flyer was shot four of five and I'm thinking it was me, or a bad round. Can argue with the results though.

Once I shoot all this factory stuff I'm going to try some hand loads and see if i can replicate the results.

Have you since tried?

I would be interested to know what muzzle velocity people settled on, on the 6.5 Creedmoor models. Mine has a medium contour barrel, 18.6". New Lapua brass, Berger 140 grain target, BR-4 primers, 2.80" COAL. I put the brass through a Sinclair neck expander mandrel die, and reamed flash holes to 1.5 mm, otherwise they were straight out of the box. The standard deviations are for 5 rounds.

That bullet is a very long bullet for a set mag length. One uses up a lot of case space with that bullet.
I tried the longer target bullets in my .308 MH, but gave up due to low velocities as trade off to use high BC bullets.
I use that exact bullet in my 6.5x284 F Class rifle, but I have the freedom to set it way out in the neck.
