Can you make it ambi like the LWRC lower? Pretty please Rick?

Copy of the POF REVOLUTION Gen 4? Would be nice and sell like hotcakes.Once this sporter gets its frt number the next logical step would be be to modify it to support the 308 cartridge. ...yes...no?? Light weight ar 10!
YOU were a large part of the reason we have kept quiet about what we have been working on for many months. Don't take this the wrong way. We learned that divulging info on projects still in the works can go completely awry, yet again.
The Sporter does NOT have an FRT yet and we are not finished testing so at the time of the call, I felt it would only create more issues. Then the competitor came out with their offering and a couple of clients who knew we had something in the works outed the project.
We still do not know IF the Sporter will get NR status, hence no pre-orders or hype. Yet
Can you make it ambi like the LWRC lower? Pretty please Rick?
I think the gutting of MV sales is going to happen regardless because of the competition coming out with Canadian made NR options.I don't see why they would do that. If the sporter is their stripped low budget takes AR parts version that is competing in price vs the newest offerings, then why would they want to gut their MV sales?

If there is one thing I know better than anything, it's that the vast majority of Canadian gun owners buy the cheapest no matter what.

they already bought the riflesThen you keep the "high end" option as the MV. This forum has shown that there are many who justify the high price as the best etc. Even if the evidence is contrary to that belief. So there are those willing to pay for what they consider high end. Plus if they make the Sporter the main firearm then those previous customers will get ticked off. Last but not least, I would suspect the oil/gas sector are a staple for them and you don't want to alienate them as they generally have more money than time and will buy the expensive stuff when times are good.
MV lowers are already ambi, and dont have a stupid ping pong paddle bolt release on the right side, instead they feature a well designed integrated bolt release button on the right side that is easy to press with your trigger finger.
I don't see why they would do that. If the sporter is their stripped low budget takes AR parts version that is competing in price vs the newest offerings, then why would they want to gut their MV sales? If they offer the same features and more compatibility, then they won't be selling many if any of the original versions. Likely they make a lot more profit selling complete rifles compared to stripped upper/lowers. I hope I'm wrong, because I like ambi options as well. But I just don't see it as being realistic. Unless this becomes the new Modern Varminter and is the only 223 product. Again I don't see that happening. Will be interesting to see how this plays out. Exciting times for firearm owners!
Clearly you can’t see what else is going on with the lower.
I had a good laugh at this. I don’t think onetwentyish knows that on the LWRC it is not just a bolt release. And you can use it to lock the bolt open as well.
Exactly, so you don’t have to use a bad lever.
Never use a BAD lever, worst thing to ever come out of the Magpul factory. Phase 5 EBR is a far superior product.
I bought the MV because it was the closest to an AR,that was available at the time.
And I’m happy, the quest has ended.
High end or price had nothing to do with it.
I did go a bit overboard with a CFW barrel and a KAC URX 4 hand guard.
I’ve done some ballpark questimatesand I could build the same rifle for $3500, with the Macdef or the MV sporter( if it’s in at $1000$.
So if the MV goes to Sh!t because of the sporter model, I’m going to lose a few bucks on resale.
About $1500 ... Ha ha
But what ya gonna do
At least I’m shooting![]()
Same I got the varminter cause it was closest thing to an AR. The same build with a $1000 receiver will be about 1k cheaper. I think the modern varminter and hunter are done the bcl and slr just allow more flexibility.
I thought the slr allows ambi safety, mag release and charging handle.
