ATT - first handgun

To be on the good side of the law I have got ST ATT to pickup handguns from the Postal Outlet. In Ont, it takes 5 mins to do. Call in, give them the info, get the number or have them fax you a copy and you're good to go.

If Ont takes 5 mins, I'm sure BC will be similar

For those of you who are saying you need an ATT.

I sure hope you remember to bring a trigger lock and locked container as well. You'd better be ready to open your parcel in at the post office or in your car and attach said devices.

Otherwise your knowingly transporting a restricted firearm that isn't properly secured.

As long as you dont open the parcel...you are fine. The delivery guy dosnt have an ATT but he is carrying the parcel isnt he?

In quebec, when you buy a gun in a store, you receive automatically an ATT good for 1 month to pickup the parcel. All YOU need to do is 1)order the gun
and 2)wait for it to come...the dealer will take care of all the rest, no need to phone the CFO.

Yeah, that's right, I'll just open the package from DLASK at the post office, whip out the AR-15 from the packaging, attach a secure locking device to it, place it into a secure container, and as I walk out the door of the post office be taken down by the local tactical unit because some scared sheeple called in a "crazy man with a machine gun"? Then I'll have all my guns taken away while they "investigate", be banned from the post-office, and spend some time in a holding cell before being charged with scaring the public and having to spend time and money for my defence. Then I won't be able to deal with the emotional trauma and fall into depression, and then not be eligible to own guns no more.

Thanks, but I think most people here will take their chances by just taking their parcel home as any other parcel, regardless if the contents are firearms or not.
