The ATT thread in the P&R section is coming up on 83 pages, maybe we could sticky one here for how to get an LTATT if you plan on travelling to a different province to compete?

I've read some conflicting information that your current ATT does not cover competition within your province, only "practice" - I'm not trying to propagate this, but we all know that conflicting reports & rulings from the CFO are basically standard operating procedure.

Ideally I'd like my ATT to cover all training and competition from BC - Manitoba. I'll get the CFO on the phone tomorrow, but I'm hoping to get local/provincial contact info and a guideline for steps to take. This initial post can be edited over the next week or so, with information on where to find 3Gun/IPSC match calendars, and how to get an invitation to a club/match.

Hopefully we can keep it specific to action shooting, with real info and no conjecture, and have a decent resource to make our lives a little easier.

So, if you have a multi-province ATT - how did you get it?

[And if the idea turns out to be a good one, maybe we could sticky another thread for travel to the States to compete.]

**First contact with the CFO**

Explained the situation, and I was instructed to send an email to cfpcfounit@rcmp-grc.gc.ca with the following -

Valid copy of my current IPSC AB membership
Valid copy of my current range membership
A list of out of province events (dates & locations) that I plan on attending

In the subject body of the email use the phrase "Reply back with regards to Long Term ATT"

Next step is for me to get my hands on some Match Calendars, will keep you posted.

The "attached" ATT is valid within your province.
You will need to apply for an ATT to other provinces. Call your CFO and see if you can get a long term multi-province ATT, or if you will need a specific short term one for each event.
The "attached" ATT covers transport to and from a border point.
