ATT wait time is in Ontario

I bought a np22 from Tenda on Dec 3, still waiting on transfers when I called today, but it's weird I bought a M&P from Al Flahertys on Dec 6 and I got the call yesterday it came through and ready for pick up. Is it always random? Shouldn't the approvals go in order?

YOu would think they would go in order but they don't seem to. My neighbour bought two within an hour of each other at different stores. One was a week, one was almost two weeks.

Bought one Nov 28 released Dec 11, transfer 3 guns to my wife November 26 released Dec 10 lol wtf is wrong with these people. Three weeks to release guns with owners living in the same house:bangHead:

This is nothing new, but I’m compelled to vent.
I’m waiting on a private sale restricted transfer, initiated and confirmed on Nov 26.
I’ve called the Ontario CFO both yesterday and today at 09:00.... and left the call on speakerphone all day. Hung up last night at 6:45p.... giving up earlier today at 5:35p.
The frustrating part is if you question the “process” you get labelled as a troublemaker and goodness knows what gets entered on your profile.
Sigh.....
Thanks or listening guys and gals. Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Call Miramichi, not Orillia.

They're working double time to get transfers done before the holidays, there's a decent chance that's why you aren't getting anyone answering phones.

hey guys, quick suggestion that seems to have worked for me in Qc. Now everybody in Qc will tell you that it takes ages to get any transfer done but not me. most i have waited is 36 hours.

do i have connections? hell no, then why do i get so fast what most of you wait for weeks?

follow up is the answer! now remember you are not the only person asking for a transfer so your request goes down under the pile... you need to make it go on top. you will achieve this by giving a call to your provincial firearm controller and ask them where the request stands. Stay courteous , if you act like a prick, why would they help you? be nice to these people, imagine the ton of others who call them and just complain! just be different and magic will happen! in the past 5 months i purchase and sold 5 restricted and they were all approve within 48 hours. i Buy the new gun and wait 24 hours before calling the controller.

good luck!

Through the phone sometimes you get the correct person and other times the person is from another province.
Found email was the best. Especially once you have a direct email it is fast.

I’ve found they have been much quicker lately...I bought a restricted from Cabelas on a Wednesday afternoon and was called Friday to pick up.

Just picked a restricted firearm two days ago. I purchased online from a store and was called a day n half later to pick it up. I thought I was the only fool buying restricted these days.
