Attaching barrel a cooey 84?

I just received an old cooey 84 28 gauge single shot from a fellow cgn'er and cannot for the life of my attach the barrel, I have never owned single shot so I have no idea what I'm doing!hope someone can help, thanks
 
Separate the barrel from the forend, if they are together.
Hook the lug on the bottom of the barrel breech onto the pivot at the front of the receiver. Close the action. Might help to hold the top lever over. There is the crosspin through the lug that activates the ejector. There will be cuts in the receiver to clear the ends.
Install the forend against the receiver, make sure the spring engages the lug, snap the forend into place.
 
The barrel should hinge right into the frame.As you pivot the barrel into the frame, slightly pull forward.When it locks up,leave the forearm off,and see if the barrel will move in any direction.If it does,do not shoot it until its looked at by a gunsmith.
