Hey Paul, we do have calibre restrictions so your rifle would have to be 9mm,223 or a 308. Let me know what you have and we can see what we can do for you
As well ppl were asking about distance and round count per stage. Round count will be coming out soon, in the mean time, I can tell you that our range allows you to shoot out to 100metres.... Just saying

For Club members, if there is someone that would be willing to meet the non members at the Legion and escort them to Echo range, please get in touch with me and I will hand off a list of shooters that you will be expecting. **Non members, before coming onto base, please have your Drivers License on hand to show the front gate.
Sundaytimingsandprocedures 10am range safety brief 10:30am rounds down range
Same procedure as above, only you can meet up at 9:15 at the Legion Food/Water
Expect to be on the range for several hours. Once on the range, you probably won't get a chance to leave until after the matches are over.
Bring lunch and snacks and water. Drinks will be available for purchase.
Pizza will be ordered for dinner during the Head to Head stage while we are waiting for nightfall to conduct Stage 4.
A slice and drink will be provided free of charge. After that additional slices and drinks can be purchased.
Blades & Equipment
Please inform me what type of blade you plan on using for the event. The blade must be able to be carried on your pers in a safe manor, must have a case of some sort. No open blades while on your kit. *Can't have anyone falling and slicing themselves open
Slings- You will need a sling for your AR
EnsuringMatchCompletion
To ensure we complete all the stages on time and without issues we will be relying on the shooters to help patch. The club procedure on this will be the following,
Shooter 1. On the line (Shoots the stage)
Shooter 2. On deck (prepping kit)
Shooter 3. Reset steel
Shooter 4 & 5. Patching targets after the scorekeeper has gone through
This sequence ensures everyone helps out. We find it very effective and ensure a smooth range day without issue. **Note for scoring, The shooter will follow the scorekeeper and confirm every target before being patched. The shooter will then confirm the score on the tablet and press save indicating he agrees with his score.
Reshoots Targets not reset properly
Targets not patched
***Gun malfunctions DO NOT call for a reshoot unless it can be proven that it was not caused by improper maintenance.
Costumes Showing up in a costume will shave 15 seconds off your total score. Best costume of the day will shave 20second.
That's a wrap, scores will be emailed out to you all tomorrow. If you want to know sooner then later. They have been posted on the Petawawa Gun Club Facebook page.
This was not a serious 3gun match, this was a serious zombie match. Tons of laughs and zombie chopping. For anyone who shot, feel free to post photos on here as i unfortunately did not have time to take photos.
Big thanks to Petawawa Gun Club for putting up such an amazing and unique 3Gun Zombie Match !!!
It's totally worth it to make the trip from Alberta to Ontario for this enjoyable shooting day .
Love it and definitely will come back again for another one
Looks like a great match and an even better time to be had. Will have my gear sorted out for spring. Hope to see you run another match, and maybe even allow .45 cal too.
