Attention customers with postal codes that begin with P. You're nobody now.

I've had two lots of ammo shipped to my door from a large retailer in New Brunswick, and I'm about as "P" as you can get, three hours northeast of Thunder Bay.

This is because Canpar and other couriers have decided to not renew thier business firearms licenses (not all offices, but at least the ones in Northern Ontario....which is in Sudbury).

Anybody who buys their drugs from Trudope’s drug stores can still get their legalized dope anywhere in the kuntry though .

It's the Canadian dopers who voted in the piece of sh1t trudy to begin with.

Unfortunately the dopers far out number those of us who do not smoke dope.

It's the new age woke way I'm afraid........:(

This is really no issue at all, if these losers want to give up some of the easiest money out there ill start making runs down every weekend. Who the hell cares what these cowards are refusing, we dont need them.

why doesn't canada's firearms and ammunition industry have it's own bonded, licensed and dangerous goods certified couriers.
I mean it's not a difficult business to set up.
It's not hard to get certified to transport dangerous goods...... I've been certified for over 10 years now.

Sad thing is that it’s not dangerous goods till it hits a certain weight I know I e carried whole loads with 90% assorted dangerous goods and legally never put any placards on trailer. I still mail small quantities of ammo in mail #### em

I tried ordering ammo from Al Flaherty's but told UPS doesn't ship to N.B. and more recently same thing with SFRC but they used purolator for me instead

Sure, setting up a logistics company that can deliver to every postal code in the country, dedicated to firearms and ammo should be dead simple to set up and operate - and profitable too…lol.

Easy on us pot smokers lol been using weed better part of 30 years keeps me a contributing member of society to be honest. Iam better using weed than those nasty pills and NO I never voted liberal to have weed made legal I treated weed like this I used it a grew it and the night before was made legal I consumed it same as I would have done the following day if was made legal or not I treat my guns the same way I’ll keep them and keep using them that included my banned guns from the 90s ban. See some of us choose to live as free men. So ya don’t blame the weed users at least not the conservative ones lmao

My postal code starts with P and I have had zero issues getting ammunition, powder or primers delivered via UPS form any online stores. I guess if FOC can't ship to P postal codes I will have to use other stores that will.

I have been getting that in Northern BC for a better part of a year now. The best is to ship to a puro depot or local pickup/drop off area. A lot of small businesses have these set up as a side gig to their main store. No problems getting it shipped to these places and picked up locally.

The problem as noted above is the local carriers that delivery to the door do not have dangerous goods certificate and can't deliver to the door.

As someone whose father was owner/operator for Purolator for 30 years... It's both the company AND the driver that need to be TDG certified. If there is no drivers in the area that do that route that are certified then you are sh!t out of luck. The reason that the drivers don't get certified is they have to take unpaid time off to do the certification, and pay for the certification them selves... It's a double loss for no extra financial gain. That is why rural deliveries don't deliver dangerous goods. Purolator is a big company but they use the "Brand contracted owner/operator" model in most locations which pays by delivery and pick up, not an hourly rate. So missing any time is crushing financially to the drivers and Purolator won't compensate. Most courier companies operate this way. I think UPS is the only one who doesn't.

If you want to point blame for dangerous goods shipping, point it at the corporations that run and own the shipping companies... Not the drivers or the retailers. They are all handcuffed by the shipping companies.

OK it's been a while but the last TDG course I took was 2 hours online, $125.

Sounds like it's basically anywhere rural. Supposedly the problem is that rural areas and small towns have contractors working for the big courier companies. The big couriers have dangerous goods certificates but the small-time contractors often don't. So now you can only ship dangerous goods to locations that the couriers themselves service. Pretty much only the cities. So us small towners and rural folks get hit with a double whammy: no or few gun stores nearby and can't order ammo, powder, or primers online. AFAIK...I have not tried to order anything recently.

If FOC has no way to ship dangerous goods to you then they can't do it. If they don't label it as such, UPS and Fedex are sure to shut their accounts when they find out.

When Higginson use to ship with Canpar it was sent to the nearest large center - in my case Edmonton and I would drive in to get it. With orders of 24 ibs. or more they paid the freight to that point. Never did inquire about getting it sent to my rural depot as I can usually come up with a reason to go to the city. Sadly they no longer use Canpar or maybe more correctly stated is Canpar no longer handles these type of shipments. Can't recall how my last order was shipped
