I receive a daily email on new listings within the Goverment of Canada Surplus auctions (mostly junk, but I've nabbed a few good deals on a few cars and other stuff over the years), and noticed one in Parry Sound for wheel weights - never used, they appear clean.
The minimum bid is $100, and the listing shows a single picture of about a dozen weights, and does not detail the number of weights, or the total amount of weight involved. For that kind of minimum bid, there obviously had to be some considerable weight, but it was like pulling teeth trying to get the information - GC Surplus representitives had no idea, and they directed me to the title holder in P. Sound, and even they were a little clueless, but they agreed to look into it and they finally called back - they have 90# of weights. Taxes in on the minimum bid, it would be about $1.25/lb for the weights, which sounds pricey, but maybe not egregiously so.
They wont ship them, so you would have to be able to pick them up. If you cast in the P. Sound area and have an interest in the weights, the auction is at:

And it ends on 3/6 at 11:30am. No one has placed any bids, probably because it looks like they want $100 for a dozen unused wheel weights. If you're looking for a quantity of WW and the price is digestable, have at it.
