hi all, had my rifle for a months now & aside from a quad rail, reflex sight & BUIS shes stock, i'm hoping for ideas on upgrades/suggestions to optimize performance? granted its just for fun & showing people that the AR15 is not an evil thing lol thanks in advance

I changed out my bolt carrier group, buffer spring and the trigger, it runs like a raped ape.
Other than that I kinda like the original furniture and sights.

Maybe try black and green rifles section, not many will think a Norc belongs in the precision area.

My suggestion would be to run it the way it is and when you decide you want a better rifle buy a new AR built by a reputable manufacturer. Nothing you do to it will do much for performance aside from changing your barrel and a quality barrel will cost you almost as much as your entire rifle did. Changing the bolt and carrier won't make it shoot any better and as long as it's running reliably there isn't much to do to it that you haven't already done. Spend your money on ammo and practice practice practice. A fancy trigger may help you shooting from a bench or in competition but it won't help as much as simply putting rounds down range will.

One thing you can do that will definitely make your rifle run better is getting some professional training. I've been shooting for years and last summer I took my first CQB class and after two days and 500 rounds I saw a huge improvement in my skills with the rifle.

Get a brake...the DPMS Miculek brake is great and inexpensive. Perfect for a Norc.

A brake is a good idea. But otherwise, just shoot the thing. Put your money into ammunition and range time.

Professional level instruction will do more for your shooting that any add on trinkets.

This! My Norc went boom every time and left a corresponding hole in the target. I sold it and bought a gun worth 4 times as much, which so far goes boom (far less reliably than the Norc) and leaves a similar hole in the target. Certainly appreciate its improved finish and perhaps feel but the holes in the paper haven't changed at all and as far as I can tell the paper hasn't noticed the difference.

If your Norc is running well then optics, triggers, compensation and weight loss/distribution could be an idea for changes, all of these parts can go on your next rifle as well..should you decide to move on in the future.

If you're letting other people shoot it I would just make sure it's easy and comfortable to use with maybe a red dot sight and Magpul furniture or something. Other than that I think the Norincos work just fine. I had a 10.5" that was nice but it was just too loud.
