I'm feeling a bit like an orphan here amongst all those 98s. However, I can not say too much about them, as they are my Cousins.
I am an almost mint 1904 DWM Portugese DWM made Lady, serial number A2850, but I have lost my other half when I was ravished and converted to a M38/04 in 7.92x57 Calibre.
Somehow, I ended up with a Mr. Simson & Co., of Suhl who is definitely incompatable with a number 3188.
Does anyone know were my original A2850 is?

Sorry no pictures will be available.
A dishonest person can print my detailed firearm pictures to show proof of ownership and report it as stolen to the police and insurance company for a claim.
It could be years, even decades later that it shows up on a list of stolen firearms. It will be a major inconvience to me because many of my guns were purchased on CGN with no paper trail other than an EMT printing. It becomes my word against someone else and I'd love to see their records or photos.
While I'm confident I could sort things out with honesty, it is just so much easier to never put myself in such a position. So as a rule I don't post any photos on the Internet of my firearms.
Blocking out a serial number is a waste of my time and ruins a nice picture, like those cheap ####o magazines. I hope everyone understands.
