ATTN Smith and Wesson Handgun Owners (Recent NEW Purchases)

Real dumb move by S&W. The whole point of these kinds of "freebies" is to promote their products. There's a good reason why the S&W brand is there on the side of the range bag. Spreading the bags around as far and wide as possible is in their best interest. And while sales to Canadian customers might be just a drop in the bucket, its nevertheless a portion of the market they're just handing off to other competing manufacturers by treating customers this way. A real no brainer. :puke:

Agreed, all things considered, the bags would of cost them little to nothing to purchase. Sending out freebies to promote is definitely the way to go.

Michael F. Golden, S&W President & Chief Executive Officer

I don’t know if an email would ever get to Mr. Golden’s office but I believe snail mail still has to be brought to his actual office if not him personally.

President, Chief Executive Officer
Smith & Wesson

Excerpt from his Press Release dated Nov. 22, 2004 after being brought on board S&W:
Mr. Golden commented, "I look forward to the opportunities that Smith & Wesson presents. The Company's emphasis on high-quality products and its customer-focused strategy positions it for long-term profitable growth. Our goal will be to develop new products, enhance existing products, exceed customer expectations, drive revenue growth, increase market share, and enhance operating margins, all designed to increase shareholder value."

I would suggest to Mr. Golden that if his strategy hasn’t changed dramatically he should instruct his employees to carry out his customer-focused strategy, exceed our expectations and make the free range bag offer available to loyal customers no matter where their geographical location may be. Its good manners and just good business.

I filled out and sent in the application I think last December and haven't received ####....I am not holding out much faith that I'll ever get it. When I called prior to sending they did say it wasn't valid in Canada but someone else here stated they said it was.

And from what I have read above, no one in Canada has received one.

Wow, these posts surprise me!!!! I sent mine in and a bag was sent to me super quick, its a really nice bag but it could stand to be a touch bigger, but what can I say?? it was FREE!!! I just called smith and wesson at the time and said I was Canadian and I wanted in on this deal and the dude just said to send in the form anyways and we'll send you one. and they did.

I talked to a number of their top people about this before, and was assured we could get ours. I'll call again tomorrow and raise some ####. Maybe I'll ask for Ernest.

I sent an email to S&W giving them the gist of what's going on. I expect it's the left hand not knowing etc. I also sent the following note with the form I am filling out and sending for the range bag. Far as I'm concerned I forked out a grand for a gun and my money's just as good as anyone elses. I deserve to be included in the offer no matter where I live. Will it do any good? I don't know but nothing changes unless you change it.

"Dear S&W,
It is my understanding that some people in Canada are being denied this offer although they have loyally supported the company as I have and spent good money on your products. This is to let you know that I have every intention of being one of the recipients of this offer and if I am not included I will follow up in every manner legally available to me".

well #### me silly.
they are now saying no at all levels.
Time for a massive attack on S&W I think. emails, phone calls, snail mail, etc. Lets hammer them on this.
I couldn't even get Ernest on the line as he is off somewhere doing some demo's.

My bag arrived yesterday via FedEx. A little small, but really nice. I sent my applicationn in (with a nice letter too) in early March.

Any word from up top yet?
I sent my form a few days ago with an explanatory note about how some of us are getting the runaround on the offer. I explained how "disappointed" I would be if the offer was extended to some Canadians and not others. Will advise. (Should have told them to throw in a hat for the trouble it's caused).

I'm going to have to ask for a pic with fisherking in it. It sounds too good to be true, lol.
How about a picture of the range bag with a Quebec newspaper showing today's date? Just kidding and jealous!

I just got mine today. I hear my dog barking and I go up stairs to see what it is. It's the FedEx lady with a package for me. I'm like WTF and sign my life away. I take it inside thinking it's going to be a bomb or something of that nature. NOPE! 1 brand new magnum range bag!

Anyone else on here get theirs?
