ATT's what you need to know

Sorry, I’m confused. I’m sure it’s been answered here or elsewhere, but I’ve scanned this thread, and the cafc website and I’m still not clear if I need to apply for ATT or not?
I just received my 1st restricteds. (Woo hoo - *only* took 8.5 months…smh)

Waiting for my reg certs before I can bring them to my club..

So, again, do I need to apply for att’s to bring them to my club? or did I dream that the home to club and back is permitted by default?
I’m in Quebec (as is my club)
Thanks a lot, sorry for the noob question

As this is your first restricted your PAL wouldn’t have the usual conditions attached that would authorize you to go to the range and return without an ATT.

Because you now have your first restricted firearm, they will send you a new licence with the transport conditions attached. You are correct that without the registration cert, it can’t leave your storage location.

Thanks Bush1,
So dont need an ATT, but I need to wait for a new license…?

Current one says “standard conditions…” on front. And possession/ acquisition non restricted/ restricted on back

You’re current one says “standard conditions” yes and if you saved the printed document that came with your last renewal, those conditions would be shown there.

As this was your first restricted purchase, it’s unlikely that the “standard conditions” of that license would include any wording of an ATT.

It’s usual that after purchasing your first restricted and the reason for this purchase was for “target shooting” they would issue you a new PAL with the new “standard conditions” attached. If you had purchased that restricted for the purpose of “collecting” , you wouldn’t get a new licence with new standard conditions.

You should call the CFC or the CFO to ask if your new license with these new conditions is on its way.

Someone suggested I request an ATT through the Individual web services, so I did that.
CFO emailed me this morning and said I don’t need an ATT, because the conditions of my license already cover transport to any approved club in my province.

I asked if I’d receive those conditions in writing and he simply replied « you don’t need a new pal »

Soo, that’s enough for me, waiting for my reg certs, printing that email and going to my club.
