How long does it take to get a temporary ATT from the store to home.
Is there a waiting period.

The time is highly variable. Days to several weeks.

Well it was covered during the RPAL course...

Anyways, there is no actual waiting period. Depending on the province your are in, and the gun you are buying, getting an ATT could take anywhere from 1 hour to 1 month.

Once your advised that the transfer is complete you call the 1-800-731-4000 press 1 for English then 5 I think for STATT's. might have to wait on hold for a bit but they'll email it to you in about 10 minutes after you give them all your info.

If you tell them you need it today they will email it to you, I have always got mine within a hour or so.

Dealer Transfer: at least 1-day to 1-week. Sometimes, less than 24 hrs.
Private Transfer: 1 week to more weeks and counting. Case-to-case basis depending on how will process your transfer documents. And if you hit a long weekend, longer wait.

I got a temp ATT in 5mins just last weekend. I called Friday at roughly 4:20pm and they were closing at 4:30. I told them I was moving on Saturday and needed to take my G17 with me. It was done a few minutes before they closed.

I know that in Manitoba and Saskatchewan it takes as long as it takes for you to call them on the phone and for the email to go from their computer to yours.

I just tried getting one e-mailed to me by the QPP here in Kebekistan and they for some reason could not e-mail it. They said mail or fax the forms. I asked why and they just said mail it or fax it again. I very often wonder why I moved back from Alberta ..

Yeah I got my LTATT the other day and I waited longer on hold than it took to get it emailed to me. Must be a B.C. Thing.
