What? August 20th and I am starting this thread? Bad gun month fellas?

Here is my August purchase and finished project. I am very satisfied how it turned out. I posted this on the milsurps.com forum as well but what the heck.

I bought a sporterized Byf43 K98 off of the EE. Great bore, which is what really mattered to me as this is will be a shooter, with a forcematched bolt and mismatched stock. Everything else matches. Here it is as I got it:

I bought a replacement stock from a guy in Norway (he included all the missing hardware I needed as well, great deal). I swapped the stock and added a repro base adaptor with an original Zf41 scope and original mount. Here it is with the new stock and the Zf41 added as well:

Nice zf41 rig Steve. LOoks like one of Mario's stocks, he's a great guy and has dressed up several rifles for me over the last couple of years.

This Norwegian guy's name was Havard Skippy, though I have seen a lot of Mario's stocks and they sure look nice as well. Rescuing one sporter at a time!

When opportunity knocks...

Bought my very first No5 ( 1944 Faz ) from the gunshop ( July purchase actually) and then another ( 1947 Faz )from a CGN member who lives locally.

1944 Faz
Missmatched and glass bedded in VG condition . Shoots great , there ain't any wandering zero with this JC .
This one is going deer huntin'.
