I'll start it for this month!

An acquaintance of mine let me have a few of his old guns, got three of them for a song. One is a .303 no. 1 mk. 3 sporter, one is a Polish Nagant in new condition, and this one is my favorite, Portuguese Mauser-Vergueiro m/1904/39 in 8mm, all numbers matching!

An 1886 M93 Lebel. Made at St. Etienne in 1890. The French soldier put his personal mark on this rifle as well.

Can't wait to shoot her :).

When they show up I'll post pics of my Swede and my M44. I'll also post pics of my VZ, and my Longbranch, even though I bought them last month :)

Picked up this one at the local flea market in Latvia...
Soviet made Ak-74 bayonet, made in Izhevsk in 1982. Matching numbers on bayo and scabbard. I used to carry exactly the same bayo when I was in Army, except mine had a number 578 and this one is 554(usually last three digits of gun's serial number are assigned to the bayo) :)

1943 Colt 1911A1

Really nice piece.
Appears to be all Colt right down to the C-R mag.
Just a bit of holster wear for the " I was there" bragging rights!

Finding this USMC helmet was a long journey...

I got this old girl in the mail today. It's a National Postal Meter 1484###, with an Inland trigger group and a 11-51 dated Springfield barrel. It's got some external pitting, but the bore cleaned up nicely. The stock has the M2 selector cut as well. It's my first M1, but I see why people like them. It feels much like my Ruger 10/22.

Gorgeous C No.7! Lots of memories of my youth in cadets.

I'm really pleased that I was able to pick up my own holy grail rifle after selling 5 other guns to scrape up the money (of course my holy grail comes for sale the week after buying my first house). It's a Belgian Mauser 1889 rifle, made my Manufacture D'Armes de L'Etat (not FN), and judging by the serial number (a16XX) one of the first two thousand made. It's in really nice shape with several clear Leopold II cartouches, all matching numbers and a non-matching bayonet and WW2 era sling. It's got Birmingham proof marks, so went through Britain at one point, possibly as part of their WW1 era refurbishment program, but doesn't have the telltale Etat Belge marks. Overall it's in great shape and a wonderful example of an extremely rare rifle!

Somewhat on the other end of the spectrum, I also picked up a Carcano M91 Fucile in quite rough shape, but the price was right and I needed one as a placeholder. The stock is rough, the metal gone to patina and the cleaning rod missing, but the bore is decent and seems shootable. The is one was made at Terni in 1897, and I also scrounged up a bayonet for it.

Glad you bought the belgian mauser, i was thinking about it for a few months... it is no more a money problem! Very nice find

Speaking of Belgian Mausers one of the big US auction houses liquidated a large collection, which included a Hopkins and Allen toolroom prototype of a Belgian contract rifle. Oddly enough, it was one of the few items that I could actually have talked myself into bidding on. I thought that the buyer got a very rare rifle at a very decent price.
