Picked up this beuty at Auction cost me a couple of Limbs but its worth it .
its in pristeen condition she been looked after for sure . a sweet companion piece for my Mk 8 . It came with the wooden case cleaning rod oiler etc i recently bought an old longbranch 303 sporter with a mag with a .22 follower in it so i have 2 mags. The one that came with it is marked .22 .
i could have went daft at the auction and bought the Blond one . i never seen an enfield with wood so white it was also a C# 7 no box , and looked like it never been touched let alone fired .

I think i may need surgery to get the smile off my face now i own this baby :D

I think someone mentioned the blonde No 7 was probably a build from a stripped receiver in another thread. I've seen another one on the EE. Gorgeous maple stock.

I don't think the No.7 prices would be nearly so astronomical if they weren't the first introduction to rifles for a few million ex-cadets :D

My first M16

Not THAT M16, a French Mle M16.

This rifle had been on the rack at a local dealer for a couple of months...tempting me every time I went in. I decided that if it was still there today, I'd make an offer on it. It was, and I did, successfully.

It's all matching but for the bolthead.

The rifle appears to have been immersed in cosmoline and then stored and only the stock wiped down by a previous owner as there was preservative everywhere. What looked like crusty or rusty was simply hardened cosmoline that came off with a little vigorous rubbing with a rag. The bore, also full of cosmoline, is mostly strong, fading a bit near the muzzle. I'm really happy with the rifle, especially given the price I paid, and am looking forward to seeing how she shoots.

Picked up a Type 99 Arisaka this afternoon. Never had my hands on one before. Don't know much about them either. Rifle including bore are in very good condition. It is a well balanced and nicely finished rifle so I'm assuming early production. Unfortunately bolt does not match reciever, cleaning rod is missing and anti aircraft "wings" are missing as well. My major interest is in shooting it. With a nice bore it will be seeing some cast bullets in the near future. My understanding is that cases can be formed from 30-06 then trimmed to correct length. I've ordered a set of Lee dies. Also I've never done pictures!!

I think I saw that one! Nice score!!!

A well worn 1945 FAZ #5 Mk1 carbine and a decent condition Israeli Mauser bayonet (1949 production) from a local gun show. The rifle has cool character as well as a minty bore, I've been looking for a JC for a long time!
