Hey all,

what's the difference between the Australian sp-01 and the "normal" / standard sp-01?

It’s just a bit longer barrel. Kinda like the new-ish 4.2” Python vs the original 4” configuration.
CZ, Glock, Colt & S&W seem to pay a little more attention to Kanadian market sales by flaunting the STUPID LIBERAL prohib barrel length rules.
Unfortunately the rubes at Kimber just cannot get on board with making their K6S revolver barrel 106 mm.
Hey Kimber? Wake the F up!!!

No, as it is only 3mm over the stock SP01

Ummm that's not true? Australian model has a 5" barrel, the rest come with 4.6" barrels. That's why the Australian version's barrel awkwardly pokes out from the slide a bit.

Edit: So if you edit a post, and somebody quotes it, does it edit your quote too? I could have sworn I quoted something completely different, But maybe I'm just on glue. Who knows.

The Australian model (Standard frame, longer barrel):

When I looked, one site said it was 120mm. But I edited the post. Another site said that the Australian was 125mm, and standard only 122mm. But even 122 is wrong Actually its 120mm for the standard. So 5mm different as what I found online. Guess you cannot trust the specs online as they don't even know.

^^^ #### off with your rants. It has nothing to do with the OP question.

My father preferred using a 5in XD in production, then the Glock17 or 22. To get a bit more MV and accuracy out. I want a TS barrel for my shadow.

I chronoed a 9mm TS2 and my S2 last night with the same ammo. The TS2 was about 20-25 fps faster. :)

Well in a revolver, that is the difference between making min PF or not, if used in IPSC. Due to the gas leak from the cylinder.

I would want a longer barrel for the accuracy aspect. As I do alot of 25/50M in PPC.
