Hey guys I just have an question for you I faxed away my Authorization to Transport the other day any idea how long it take to get back ? Got a glock on hold for me and realy want to take it to the range. :)

If your in BC, I called in my ATT application yesterday. CFC called back and asked for additional info which I faxed over. Received my ATT today in the mail. Just make sure you give them all the info they ask for asap and they will work on it. They do say it takes up to a week so good luck. Our tax dollars at work.
Welcome aboard and let us know how your Glock performs!

Att

Most provinces only take anywhere from 2 days to a week, unless you are in Ontario which could take up to three weeks.

Ontario = 6 weeks

Actually, I am exaggerating as that was mostly my clubs fault, I think it took around 1 week on the CFOs part.

Took 1 day for me as applied Monday it was approved Tuesday and received it in the mail on Thursday. I'm in Vancouver.

Cheers

I got one other question for you guys, Wholesale sports told me I had to fax off my ATT befor I had any info about the gun for my ATT. Something about thats how it works in B.C. Is that true or am I getting the run around here ? Kind of seemed odd to me.

I'm still waiting for my ATT, 3weeks+ after the club (supposedly) sent the info to CFO. I have my new Shadow waiting in the safe for over a week. Sucks to be in Ontario!

Is there a number I can call to find out the status of my ATT, or will this do me no good? TIA.

Yeah, BC is odd. You have to have your Long Term ATT in place before you can take possession of a restricted. Wholesale Sports should be able to give you a reference number for the transfer. Just make a note on your LTATT application (with the reference number) that there's a transfer associated with the application.

Interesting. I thought BC was the same as Alberta where they issue the LTATT at the same time as you are completing your first restricted transfer.
I learn something every day on here:D

It's kinda done at the same time. They just won't complete the transfer until the LTATT is processed. PITA really....especially when they send you a letter telling you the transfer is denied because you don't have an LTATT, even though the application is already in :rolleyes:

It took 5 weeks from start to finish for mine to get to me. Call CFO and ask for the ATT lady. She will tell you when it was received if it even has been and when it will be sent back to your range!

NOT RCMP call the CFO. Rcmp do not deal with the att's

I am in ontario and I am still waiting for mine.... 3weeks and counting. I was told that there is only one woman that does this for all of Ontario. Call 1-800-731-4000 and ask for Carrie. shes the gal.... I called recently and she was on vacation.... might get to see mine before the end of summer..... good luck!

Thanks! I called Carrie Cook (ext.7528, BTW). She doesn't seem to have my application. That's 3-1/2 weeks down the drain! :mad: I donno if the club forgot to send it (most likely) or if the CFO office had lost it (highly unlikely). I left a message with the club...
