I thought I had a thread going. One of my buddys has a new 1187 SP super mag. After prob hunting this last week he is going to get a new gun. The only new auto I have exp. with is Moss 935. I rec.it & the Baretta extrema 2. The hunters that hunt with us useing extrema are happy. Any other ideas on 3 1/2 auto? thanks AJ :)

I am quite happy with my Baikal Mp-153. A real workhorse, 3.5", adjustable gas system (although, I lucked out on my first try and found the adjustment to sycle everything)
Don't bother looking at the wood models, the stock is not comfy... but the synthetic is great.

They can be had new for about $700 or used around $500

You can't kill them either.

are the gas rings in their proper postition? are the gas ports in the barrel cleaned, take a #52 drill bit in a pair of pliers and run through the gas ports. is the action spring and tube in the stock clean? don't mean to insult anybody. but sometimes remington 11-87's like some 1100's have to be cleaned constantly.

Buy a Beretta or Benelli, I owned two brand new 11-87 SPS and they jammed on 3.5 and would not shoot 2.75 even with the compensator ring. And yes I cleaned them after every day used, cleaned out the gas holes, removed the metal burrs so it would stop breaking the O ring, sent it back to Remington for repairs more than I was able to use them. Spend a bit more and buy a gun not a piece of junk. Sorry for the rant but I lost a lot of good days hunting.

sometimes the action weights can get crud and rust inside and that can cause it not to cycle as well, but i don't blame you one bit ,tracker, after two duds in a row it's time to move on.
